Today, EMSTAR remains as the designated program agency as well and providing a host of educational programs to help better serve the needs of the Emergency Responders within the greater Southern Tier Region of New York State. The primary service area includes, Chemung, Schuyler and Steuben Counties.<\/p>\n\n<p>EMSTAR is a fully equipped training facility. Classrooms are equipped with Teaching\/Learning equipment that includes AED teaching models, defibrillators, mannequins, airway equipment at the BLS and ALS levels. Additionally, there are six smaller clinical learning rooms. All equipment and supplies are made to simulate the \u201creal world\u201d.<\/p>            \t\t\r\n            \t<\/div>\r\n        \t        <\/div>\r\n Confidence<\/h2>\t        <\/div>\r\n\t                    \t<div class=\"description\">\r\n            \t\t<p>Our educational staff is highly trained with years of experience. Additionally on staff, we have two American Heart Association (AHA) Regional Faculty members and two NYS DOH BEMS Regional Faculty members who can teach EMS Educator programs. We also have emergency medicine physicians that are active educators within the system, and availability to utilize local emergency medicine residents.<br \/><br \/>EMSTAR has partnered with Arnot Ogden Medical Center for over twenty years and is the site for New York State Bureau of Emergency Medical Services Courses: Certified First Responder (CFR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic and Online CME programs for EMT and Paramedic\u2019s.<br \/><br \/>In the pursuit of maintaining our position as a three county EMS training center, we endeavor to offer a complete diverse portfolio of programs for the casual learner to the fully credentialed degreed programs. The advent of community paramedicine combined with the current shortage of qualified EMS providers puts additional stress on the EMS educational system. EMSTAR has always led the initiative to reach out and embrace new technology, new and creative ideas, all to make the System better.<\/p>            \t\t\r\n            \t<\/div>\r\n        \t
