Video Borrower Application
EMSTAR offers a library of EMS video's for your use. These videotapes/DVDs are designed to keep your students and EMS agency personnel up to date on issues in EMS, as well as to review treatments and procedures.
These video's are for the use of registered borrowers in the EMSTAR region only. They may be borrowed by:
- EMS instructors for class use,
- EMS provider agency training officers for inservices,
- EMS personnel for personal review.

10 Steps to a Successful Training Session
- Prepare a lesson plan in advance; a well-organized training event will increase participant interest and information retention.
- Preview the videotape.
- Review all of the written materials that accompany each program.
- Determine any additional site-specific information relevant to the training topic.
- Duplicate the written materials for all members in attendance.
- Prepare the classroom to include a VCR and monitor; have the pare cued to where you plan to begin.
- Distribute copies of written materials to attendees
- Introduce the video title and objectives to the class. View the program and have the attendees take the exam
- Conduct an open “point-by-point” discussion of what was shown and how it pertains to your department and local protocols. Use the questions in the instructor’s guide.
- Provide “hands-on” experience: review and practice any technical skills presented in the video program.
